Sisters at Heart is pleased to announce that on Saturday, December 3rd, Claudine Stubbs Henry, founder of Heartstring Ministries, will be the guest speaker for our monthly gathering. She will be sharing “Rediscovering the Christ of CHRISTmas..”

As an avid storyteller who is best known for her humor and warmth, Claudine weaves modern day parables from ordinary, everyday life experiences. She will have you laughing one moment then reaching for a tissue the next. In her matchless style, she will invite you into her daily world, then, “Wham!' hit you with a truth you didn't see coming – a special message from God. You will leave challenged to discover a greater intimacy with God and to see Him at work through “miracle moments” in your day to day life.

A native Oklahoman, Claudine accepted the Lord at a children's camp when she was seven years old. She will tell you that the motto her family lived by was “when the church doors open…BE THERE.”

She attended Southern Nazarene University and majored in Christian Education. Since that time she has worked in almost every area of the church: children's director, youth director, Sunday School ministries, missions, lay-training, worship leader, writing/directing productions and most recently writing and teaching PrayerSurge, a study on what the Bible says about prayer.

In 1989 her greatest life experience began. It was during that time that both she and her husband Larry, began to experience their own personal holocaust. Plagued with unexplainable illness and eventually clinical depression, they had to find a way to serve God and believe in His promises even when it looked as though they were heading for bankruptcy and possible separation.

Heartstring Ministries is an outgrowth of those years. During that time Claudine learned as never before, the power of prayer , the healing that comes from praise and the incredible promise of His Word

Claudine makes her home in Oklahoma City with Larry, her husband of twenty-three years, and Logan, their high school age son.
