Sunday School

Two of our adult classes study God’s Word through the Adult Bible Study Series.  This quarterly study presents stimulating lessons that explore the biblical message and how to apply it to daily life. The curriculum helps adults move from a focus on the Word to reflection on personal, family, church, and community concerns.

We also have a singles class and three other adult classes whose weekly studies range from Christian life and issue related studies to bible studies.  The formats are as varied as the issues, some are book studies others are more interactive.  Some are DVD and even internet studies.

As varied as our Sunday School classes are, they all provide an opportunity for fellowship as well as spiritual growth.  Our classes pray with and for each other.  They have parties and take trips together.  Our classes provide a safe environment for sharing our joys, our hardships, and our lives with a Christian family that truly loves and cares for them.  Our Sunday School begins at 9:30am.

Senior Adults

Senior Adult outings are planned on the first and third Monday of each month with breakfast on the last Monday of the month.  On the first Monday of the month a variety of destinations are selected in order to try new foods and adventures.  On the third Monday local destinations are visited.  The outings begin at the church with a game of Skip-Bo and a time of fellowship.  Trips are taken in the comfort of the people mover. The fifth Wednesday of each month this group is invited to a South District combined luncheon at a location chosen at the previous luncheon. These meetings allow for fellowship with like-minded senior adults. They occasionally invite speakers to present information on relevant topics. These young-at-heart Christians are always open to new ideas and opportunities. Join this exciting group for Christian fellowship and fun.

Single Adults

This group consists of single men and women of all ages with a desire to grow in their faith. They share stories, concerns, suggestions, and support in living as a single, Christian adult in today's world.  Wesley Singles meet on Sunday mornings for Sunday school, once a month for Singles Fellowship, and once a month for movie night, game night, a mystery trip, or some other fun activity.

United Methodist Men (UMM)

Wesley UMM meet on Tuesday mornings at 7 a.m. for breakfast, conversation, devotion, and prayer.  Ministries include helping with Project Safe, working on church projects, providing meals for the church, and driving the church vans. These are men from all walks of life who love the church and the people in it. All men are invited to join this fellowship and ministry.  They are single men, married men, fathers, husbands, grandfathers, uncles, and brothers.

United Methodist Women (UMW)

Here at Wesley these women strive to know God and experience freedom in Christ by participating in various ministries and circle meetings, and by reading books from UMW’s Spiritual Growth category.  They support the congregation by providing family dinners for funerals, and have initiated Wesley’s Feeding in the Park, Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, and Prayer Shawl ministries.  Their activities raise funds for local, state, national, and global missions involving women and children.

Everyone is invited to participate.  Wesley currently has 3 circles: Hope/Loving which meets the first Tuesday of each month, Sept. through June, at 1:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.  The Peace Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month, Sept. through June, at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Parlor.  The Faith Circle is a group of young, vibrant women who meet in a variety of venues at a variety of times.  Keep an eye on the newsletter, website, church signs, and Wesley's group page on Facebook for information on their activities.
