The creation of the position has been approved by both the Staff Parish Relations Committee and the Administrative Council. The position will be part time (25 hours/week) with an annual salary of at least $22,500. The Position will be funded for at least 3 years based on a one time allocation of $75,000 from previously distributed PEF Funds. These accounts and their funding proportion as set by PEF rules include: Trustees (50%), Trustees Emergency (10%), Missions (12.5%), Youth (10%), Ministries (10%), and Children’s (7.5%). During the Church Conference, two motions will be presented to the church membership in attendance for their consideration and approval.
The first motion will be to:
“Temporarily suspend the rules of the Perpetual Endowment Fund to remove funding restrictions on payment of salaries. This suspension will expire when the Church Conference adjourns by vote of the church membership in attendance.”
If the first motion passes by 2/3 of the church membership present, a second motion will be presented to the church membership in attendance.
This second motion will be to:
“Make a one time allocation of $75,000 from previously distributed PEF Funds. The amounts from each fund will be: Trustees/Trustees Emergency ($19,520), Missions ($19,125), Youth ($10,640), Ministries ($11,510), and Children’s ($14,205).”
If this motion, passes successfully, the entire $75,000 will be allocated to a separate designated account for the Children’s Minister/Coordinator salary and associated expenses (e.g., payroll taxes).
